We're back and this time we are gonna talk about some pretty cool mods. So let's keep the ball rolling and kick this thing off in this weeks Oblivion Modded Part 3!

First we're gonna recap on one of the mods from Part 2... The Lost Spires. In the previous part you just got to see a little bit of what the mod had to offer, and after all there's gotta be a reason it's call The Lost Spires right?! I actually have gotten the chance to play this mod, and from what I've seen so far, and I'm just finishing the 1st quest, I'm really impressed. It adds new quests, comes with it's own unique dialog, and was "voice acted" so you don't have to deal with the silent NPC's. Here's some in game screenshots

In this shot, I'm at the end of the cave under the first spire, just looted the prize chest, and posed for the shot :) As you can notice by the strange glowing glyph in the back, the mod has add these strange new artifacts which you run across exploring the spires caves. Also the new Warlocks Chest is a great addition to the game.

Here's what The Lost Spires site has to say about it's mod.
"Uncover the mysteries of ancient Tamriel as only one can, through the Archeology Guild. Scale the guild's ranks and explore new, exotic locales to unravel a plot of sinister deceit, betrayal, and doom." - Lostspires.com
-Single, climactic story-arc supported with 10 highly immersive dungeons
-New Archeology Guild, filled with dozens of collectable display items
-Two entire cave retextures
-Over a dozen retextured creatures
-100+ new custom meshes
-Powerful new lore-soaked loot
-Functional bear trap
-Deep, characterized NPCs
-Epic, heart-pounding battles
-Must-have modder's resource
-Over 15 hours of new gameplay
And here's the Unofficial Trailer...

Next we have Elsweyr Anequina. That's right! Now you can go to the home of the Khajiit's. This mods adds a whole new section to the game by populating the land of Elsweyr south of Cyrodill. There are several new cities, new towns, and new characters. The landscape also changes to match what you would find in the desert. Don't forget that you'll have to disable borders or have a mod that does that for you. So let's see some screen shots to get you started.
In this shot I'm on the bridge in front of the castle in the city of Riverhold.

Here's a shot of the desert, this pic is from the net.

And here's a video I made on my end with a fly through and walk through that can also be seen on the XycoZone Youtube Channel.

Next we're gonna cover the Ring of Wings mod. This mod is unique as it offers several selections of wings to choose from when you equip the ring, and best of all it has a flight function that when you toggle the hotkey allows you walk in the air!
Larissa with Angel Wings...

...and here with Dragon Wings.

Okay, and now for the Bag of Holding mod. A must for all you loot happy players out there who would rather carry your stuff around instead of placing it in your home. This is also good to get you out of a bind when exploring and getting faced with being "over-encumbered" and not having a feather potion to get you back home with all that new loot. No matter what you put in it, the bag always stay 5 pounds, or what ever the weight measurement is in Oblivion :P
Here's what it looks like in your inventory...

...and this is the screen that pops up when you select it.

Next we move on to the Crystal Torch mod. This one is a nice one that give you a new source of light for night travel or in the depths of caves and dungeons. The neat thing is that the recolor mod brings you different crystals and the light given off is the color of the crystal! Plus their light never runs out, so set them around your player home for some new lighting.
This pic is panned out so you can see the effects of the crystal, mind you my character is outside in the daytime, so the effect isn't as noticeable.

Here's a close up.

Coming up, let's cover Varian's Elaborate Spells. This one is special to me as I'm incorporating it into a mod I'm working on myself, which I've mentioned on the Main page, called Weye Rebuilt. The store entrance to Varian's Elaborate Spells is located in the Imperial City Market District, unless you have Better Cities installed, in which case Varian's store get covered up by a wall and a cart full of watermelons. The mod has a few new useful spells, and this one which is my favorite called Rain Flaming Watermelons! So since I can't get a screenshot of the store front, I'm gonna showcase the Rain Flaming Watermelons spell.

And here it is in action on a Mud Crab!

So far I haven't seen the spell do any damage, but WOW what a funny spell!

Speaking of funny spells, that brings us to our next mod... Hilarity! This mod adds a LOT of new spells with some really funny effects, like making someone into a giant, or turning and enemy into a sheep, but the "Let's Play Catch" spell is one of the funniest. Cast it at any friend or foe, and in a few seconds boulders fall from the sky onto them. Two of the spells I have found to be kinda useful were the summon spells the mod has. Here's a pic showing a few of them.

These next few pics are when I cast Summon Marauders and Summon Goblins together...
First the Marauders..

Then the Goblins...

I just stood back and watched them fight it out! This comes in handy when in a battle and the enemies start to pile on, just let loose one of these spells and let them duke it out.

Just a few more to go, so let's get on with it shall we? The mod simply called Camping is up next. This is a useful and interesting mod, and a must for those who really get into character submersion. There are several different tents, which you'll have to purchase from trade stores that are already a part of the original game, like from Seed-Neeuus or Three Brothers Trade Goods, then just find a good spot in the wilderness and cast the "Camping" spell that is added to your character when the mod is installed, and poof! Your portable camp is set up, complete with a working camp fire you can light yourself. This makes it easy to level up by sleeping easier without having to hunt down a bed.

Here are 3 of the camps... there are more, but I'll save that for you to experience.

And this Large Imperial Tent you can actually go inside to get out of the rain!

And we've saved the best for last! This one will have you feeling like a Dragonborn in this next and final mod of this segment called Akatosh Mounts! You get a new spell upon activating the mod that lets you summon a Drake! There are a few to choose from, but when it shows up, you can mount it and fly around Tamriel. Once you choose your drake, you get another spell that will allow you to command it. You can have it follow you around and it'll even fight for you. I really enjoyed this mod!
First choose your Drake...

...Storm Drake...

... or the Shadow Drake...

And take flight! This works well with the Enhanced Mounted Combat mod mentioned in Oblivion Modded Part 2 to take out enemies using magic from above.

and in case you missed it in part 2..
Well that wraps it up for this weeks segment of Oblivion Modded Part 3. Stay tuned for Part 4 after the holidays where we're gonna cover a few ship mods you can use to sail around the seas of Cyrodill, and a few other mounts you can use to travel around on, like a wolf, or a lion. Also a few other mods like an amulet that let's you summon Atronachs to fight by your side.
Don't forget to be on the lookout for a short blog post over the holidays about the new project I'm working on called Weye Rebuilt, and yes there will be screenshots, Yay!
'Till then, keep creating, keep gaming, and Happy Holidays!!!!
